andrew	The main issue was the shark it use to rust up and change lots of scenes with chit chat instead, Duel was a terrific movie even if it was made for TV.
Foz	And to think it was almost never finished due to numerous production issues. Even when it was finally made they thought it would be a complete turkey. Spielberg's career could have easily gone either way.
JK2006	Reshown on ITV4 - nothing else on; a tremendous film; I would have thought it had dated - not at all. Roy Scheider was on the next pool chair to me and Bean in Hawaii years ago, around 1978, just after it was on cinema screens. Royal Hawaiian Hotel; Waikiki. My god Speilberg was great when he was younger.
