It's very disappointing and I love a good murder.
He's far too moody.

In fact, it makes "Wallender" appear very old-fashioned.
Whereas "The Killing" seems edgy and contemporary.

Dead right Gary and the problem is - they think it makes it moody and atmospheric. It doesn't.

I agree - its too drawn out.
A scene will often be like this - 'W is driving along a country road (thinking) and goes into a driveway; he slowly parks up and goes into the house, looks around - and stares out the window, thinking; he opens a kitchen drawer and puts coffee on; he sits down, thinking, and drinks it.......'
This could take five minutes.
In, say, The Killing, this would all take about 90 seconds.

I've decided I really don't like Branagh's Wallander - it's nowhere near as good as the original Swedish version and thinks it's miles better than it is; full of confused script, clever clever photography; "thinks it's clever" music... sorry, thumbs down.
