JK2006 Well I absolutely loved this - even more than Wolf Hall, one of my favourite novels of this new century.

She really manages to paint Tudor England beautifully and Thomas Cromwell was clearly an intriguing and powerful character. Anne Boleyn comes out less well, rather a caricature, but this is a terrific book whether you like historical novels or not.
