The hand wringing about the 6am knock on the door from Lily Law.?
They are carrying on like a protected species that should be sent a nice invitation.
Amazing hypocrisy from the press that, given that they love being 'the invited media' when the Police bang down doors of the 'criminals' at ridiculous o'clock.
Still at least we know that with the state of British media these days it's a case of don't do what we do, do what we say (as long as you leave us out of it when we have done wrong).
A friend of mine was getting down for housing benefit fraud. He was innocent, the investigator had added a 0 to the form to make him look like a conman - and in any case, the form wasn't in his name but his wife's. This was reported in the paper and on line, yet a week later when the magistrates dropped the case due to serious issues with the evidence and the lack of the principal witness (who was sacked for another bodge job a few weeks later), the newspaper didn't print this 'verdict' nor withdraw the original article, meaning to the public, he is still 'guilty'.

Really shocking is the very first sentence:
"To paraphrase Martin Neimoller, first they came for the News International journalists and I said nothing - because I hated Rupert Murdoch."
Dominic Ponsford is comparing the treatment of some journalist by the british police to the treatment of dissidents by the Gestapo in the "Third Reich".
Brooks & Co. get millions of pounds compensation (and maybe a slap on the wrist), Niemöller & Co were killed.
