JK2006 I'm a tax payer who regards his country as the human race; not Brits or Europeans but Humans. So I support a society which looks after human beings whatever their skin colour, religion or gender.

[b]However if the British cannot get jobs,

Where do you think these jobs (done by immigrants) come from?
Do they magically appear when an immigrant lands?

Of course not - they are existing VACANT jobs that Brits WILL NOT do.

Please answer the question about the NHS.

Yep the NHS, specific jobs for trained Doctors and nurses from throughout the world, got no problem with that.

I assume he did not become an MD immediately after leaving school ... that he had many years experience first .... and THEN worked as an MD for 20 years?

In other words - he is in his middle 50s?

One has to be realistic ... very few first will "take on" someone and train them when they have so little work expectancy to return.
Surely better to train someone who could potentially give many many years work return?

Nope, mid 40s. He was part of the Yuppie boom in the 1980s.
