But if enough of the key people in any organisation are corrupt, the whole organisation may as well be corrupt. Where does a squeaky clean rank and file copper go if they want to be a whistleblower?
If The State doesn't want the British people to know something, it remains secret, like Prince Charles' letters to ministers, like Dr. David Kelly's autopsy ... the UK is heaving with secrets and I reckon most protect people in positions of power rather than the British public from things they are not ready to hear

As I live quite close to the area I get alot of local "news" etc about this story ... believe me this will run and run (and heads will roll).

After the fiasco that was my wrongful conviction I became convinced that all police were corrupt.
My experience since has told me that, as in most things, it's neither extreme; some are, some aren't.
But Hillsborough indicates a frightening culture of deceit.
