No doubt some of the rabid right wing press will be asking the Police to claim back the cost of the shock from the victim!
Had these PCs been armed, we would have more than likely be dealing with a death here.
A line has got to be drawn as regards disciplining officers in these cases. What threat was this man to the Police Officers? Did they give him any warning? The whole point of a white stick is so that blind people can at least be noticed in the street - I know that, others know that, why the hell don't the Police know that? |

Once again (as in the Duggan case and many others) the police show that they cannot be trusted with further and greater powers and will ultimately abuse them.
