This is true - I respected PG absolutely until all this kicked off.... The BBC doesn't need kicking from within (though with the inept Georgie Cuntwhistle as the helm it's fucked anyway), Gambo knows full well the tabloids agenda against what is the only half-decent broadcasting company left in the UK, knows full well the sexism splashed across the BBC in the 70s was endemic in every organisation and workplace, and no more so than Fleet Street), and that it has changed completely in recent years, and knows full well the rumour and conjecture he's promoting now as statement of fact is third hand folklore and that he is intelligent enough to know all this - as his "knowing" remarks on Twitter prove.
In commencing this agenda of revenge, he's fucking things up for his fellow music lovers, something I will find it hard to forgive.
He's helping to fuck over 6music, BBC4 and the priceless TOTP repeats. Not the action of something supposedly intelligent and respectful.
The Panorama programme he appeared in did nothing to tell the truth, but everything to fan the flames of this hostile attack on the BBC.
I want the past delivered to me unedited, warts and all. I want a future that could never be delivered on commercial media. Gambacinni is helping to destroy the last remaining remnants of decent broadcasting in the UK in some kamikaze revenge attack on piss-taking from 35 years ago. Cheers Paul, thanks a milion. |

Roddy his mate, Hedda!
I think Gambo always been a little too keen, in opening his gob, to spout out nonsense, as he likes the sound of his own voice. Even JK looks prettier than he does. So, why Limahl went around with him, i'd never guess! Gambo the man responsible for Kajagoogoo. Who quickly disappeared into obscurity, rather like Gambo. But still comes out of the cupboard for deaths & pop profiles, only to open his ugly mush, yet again! Guess this time he's heading for a fall, though.
I believe the great JK, has something in common with him...In that both had a US Chart feature on TOTPs in the 80s & some point. JK's feature was an interesting magazine type look at the US scene, while Gambo's was a bland insight into his own favs. |

may all be very true Roddy.
But I think it's he that's gone all tabloid. |

Amazing what you can read in books. Just a shame Mr G didn't appear in the UK, 20 years before & then (just maybe) he'd of got his UK Chart correct...Unfortunately he didn't & claims that "Please Please Me" was only #2, but we all know that he's wrong. So, he may have read books, but he's unfortunately read the wrong books!
In his very own championed "American Top 40" shows, he hasn't even checked back into the 50s & 60s, to see that Billboard & Cashbox Magazines, were not using UK Record Retailer Charts, as no one followed them, because the RR Magazine, only ever polled around 30 shops! |

There's nothing forgettable about Gambo, who is a brilliant broadcaster, even if you don't like him. He did used to get teased relentlessly about being gay, back in the day, at Radio One - I remember he particularly hated the 'Come on, its chopper time' comment that was shouted across Brands Hatch or wherever the latest 'Fun Day' was when it was time for him to follow Edmonds into the helicopter. Maybe now it's all a strangely out of character attempt at payback. He's still the only 'pop' broadcaster around today who sounds like he's read some books and has a life beyond the studio. No need to turn all tabloid on him. |
