An alleged abuse victim, goes to court & the alleged abuser is found guilty.
The alleged abuse victim gets 2/3 thousand in compensation.
They buy a second hand car, with the comp.
Now, they have a constant reminder of said "abuse", by driving around in that car...
Surely if you've been abused, with you really want this constant reminder?
I think not. Getting on with your life, is hampered by driving round in a car, bought with comp, from the alleged abuser.
Rather smells!
2/3 thousand ?????
try 20/30

May launches north Wales child abuse inquiry
Home Secretary Theresa May has announced a new police inquiry into allegations of child abuse in North Wales in the 1970s and 1980s. After the report was published in 2000, there were 140 compensation claims settled on behalf of the victims www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20221959
The Secret of Bryn Estyn is a book by Richard Webster on the making of a modern witch-hunt. The police tracked down those that had resided at Bryn Estyn and prompted them to make complaints. It became a process known as trawling for victims.
As a result, together with a handful of confessed abusers, many other care home workers were convicted and imprisoned and until this day protest their innocence.
A further inquiry into the scandal is needed, but we are now well into another mass convulsion of paedophile hysteria, so the inquiry announced starts from the wrong premise.
The aim of the inquiry being not to exonerate those falsely accused but to identify high ranking names and paedophile rings in a further extension in the already discredited witch-hunt.
Interestingly Richard Webster’s web site was still accessible until a day or two ago although not updated since his death and obituary in 2010. That it should suddenly go down now is curious. However the Wayback machine can still recover what we are obviously no longer meant to read:
Webster’s book received many favourable reviews and was shortlisted for a Pulitzer Prize.
Since the scandal, attempts have been made to overturn the injustice but have been thwarted:
A group which casts doubt on abuse allegations at north Wales' children's homes has been refused permission to hold a conference at a council venue. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_east/4552643.stm
The catalyst for the present enquiry is allegations by Steve Messham that he was systematically abused by those that included a senior member of the Conservative party. Now Steve Messham does not get a mention in Richard Webster’s book, as far as I can see, but his regular allegations date back 12 years or more:
So if you have a tale of sexual abuse to relate, get your timing right. In today’s climate of fear even the prime minister will listen to you.
