having met Rupert's nephew many times in London (his mother inherited her father's magazine's and turned them into an empire- Rupert got the newspaper and did likewise) he has told me of the fractured family in detail.

I know JK found Rupert to be amiable but his reputation for holding grudges is legendary and extends to his children. 2 have been frozen out at present including his daughter and older son.
