Foz	You could go in circles regarding MT. Especially when the miners were concerned. Some would argue that poor management, union-led wage increases and weak government under Labour made it inefficient to keep them open. I believe it was cheaper at one point for the UK to import coal from Germany than use our own coal because of this. No PM has been wholly brilliant as a leader - as many people will hate them as love them. Some will be even more unpopular.
andrew	Thing I hate JK is when they closed the pits to save UK money and left millions in poverty , still they had money to fund for the Falklands War. And of course the Poll Tax and which a few of mates went to prison for not paying and still didn't when they got released. If I ever got in power I reopen the pits and opt out the EU.
JK2006	Well Andrew I think all politicians are generally useless: motivated by self interest and tabloid praise instead of what's good for the country. Right or wrong, Maggie was one of the few who took her decisions (often wrong in my opinion) because she felt it was right for Britain. Very few others do that.
andrew	The country would be better of if Tories didn't exist at all.
