Actually, Emergency Ward 10 had equally dodgy sets. (I know, my Dad provided all the hospital doors in the sets). Both EW10 and Crossroads were filmed at Birmingham's ATV studios. |

I was about 12 and had a bit of a crush on Nurse Carole Young (Jill Browne); Desmond Carrington was in it - still very good on Radio Two - and a very young John Alderton who I later introduced to his future wife Pauline Collins. |
