I know exactly what you mean - I've only ever seen her "live on TV" (as opposed to live-live), but she always seems to be imitating a pop singer, rather than actually being one... BarntheBarn	Fantastic intimate Patrick Wolf gig last night. Definitely one of the most exciting/talented artists around. He cited the gig as one of his favorites for a long time, it was in a church as opposed to the usual O2 Academy type venues. Good support from solo singer Abi Wade too. Yesterday's intimate public gig was preceded by a performance in front of Prince Charles who was in Oxford to visit trainee clergy. He was apparently fascinated by Wolf's hair. Wolf performed a poem he wrote over the weekend to Charles and later to us, written to question the way we treat our precious countryside/green spaces. Sublime.

I think The Noisettes are the most underrated group, possibly, ever. Patrick wolf live (again) but acoustic in a few days. Can't wait.
bh	I've got to say I always find Paloma a very talented person & has a lot of interesting things to say. Much more interesting than the slightly overrated Adele, for intstance.
