hedda interesting Radio program about Andy Warhol.

I knew Andy from NY as did my friend who ran party nights at Heaven..she organised a party there for him although no-one thought he would come but he did..and brought an entourage that included Prince Von Thaxis (who taxis are named after) while Richard Branson leapt into a cab to get there asap.

But the part about the exhibition is fun especially as I sat beside him while he signed autographs ..one woman approached him and wept uncontrollably !!! (JK may have experienced this with fans !)..

but a fascinating bit is the young artist who gatecrashed and was then invited to The Ritz..where while standing next to Andy for a snap, Warhol groped his crutch...he felt , even though he is straight, quite honoured and still does. (it's about the only thing Andy ever did)

What a contrast to the mealy mouthed lot coming out and moaning that some celeb ( Savile ) groped them and it "destroyed their life"..such bollox.
