I think it's good value for the entertainment provided but I doubt anyone thinks you will be a "better person if I had access to tv" for if that were the case, ITK wouldn't be so thick...he has one just to see what the weather will be like in half an hour, the poor thing.

hedda	we pay for heaps of things we do not use...roads, hospitals, bridges, airports, buses, trains etc etc... we don't use every facility we pay for..couldn't possibly in a lifetime. Indeed we pay for commercial TV stations as well even if we don't watch them' The price of advertising your Toyota (even my pre-loved Jag !! ) is built into the price but you may never see the advert even though you pay for it. BBC is good value even in it's diminished state !! (the good news is poor old ITK pays for all these things as well...and horses for the scroungers )
