JK2006 He really is an excellent writer; this is a first class piece, even if I don't agree with some of it.

There is also a fascinating Guardian piece (Russell's article is carried in there) on What If Willie Whitelaw and not Maggie had become PM.

Conclusion - we'd be in much the same place as we are now.
Chris Retro I have noticed Russell is becoming an interesting interviewee on the subject of addiction and others things
He gave a good interview to Jon Snow on Channel 4 recently, which was ruined at the end by Snow bringing "Savile" into it, something the RB clearly wasn't wanting him to do. Media agendas etc, Jon Snow must be another arsehole?
