But all UK major supermarkets bake on site!

Only Morrisons claim to fully bake their bread in-store. Others just finish off pre-baked frozen product.

2 Fresh bread rolls from local independent bakery
2 slices of Haslet
2 fresh Tomatoes from local green grocer

and a big cup of Yorkshire Tea.

Bliss.

Oh the benefits of working from home that one can partake in such simple splender!

I applaud you for patronising local independent providors and keeping the economy ticking over and any number of people employed.

Thanks Hedda - I find paying that little bit more means that the food is much nicer, plus I don't really get on with a lot of supermarket 'fresh' bread when it's almost certainly never as fresh as they say.

The local bakery has very strange hours that befits a bakery, so you know that the food is very fresh and I'm lucky at the top of the street that a greengrocer opened up only a year or so ago.

As for Haslet, well I love it, even if some people think it's an acquired taste. I do like stuffed chine as well but it's usually more expensive...
