bh Reminded of a really appropriate remark in the late Bob Monkhouse's book.

"War doesn't determine who's right. It just determines who's left".
In The Know More evidence of war crimes committed by UK troops.

(notice how we offer to return them, once our illegal Guantanamo has been found out?)
JK2006 Very good points here; the species is in one hell of a mess and our leaders don't appear aware that actions have consequences.

If you poke a nasty spider or snake they will strike out at you.

Oddly the man waving the knife in the videos tells the truth- the leaders and politicians who make the decisions that will end in the deaths of thousands will rarely be brought to account.

Sadly we see the result....a man is brutally murdered in the street. It's hideous and shocking and inexcusable but actions have results, often unintended and unforeseen results.... an innocent man going about his lawful business is brutally murdered on the excuse he 'represents' the nation.

Many of us predicted that the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq would energise a million 'Jihardists' and we were right.

No-one wins.

Whooppee ! Hedda-tas gets it right (for once LOL !)

Meanwhile ... Theresa May wants to re-invoke the "snoopers charter" - clamping down on ALL our freedoms and punishing everyone (just in case).

These men were know to MI5 (yet nothing could be done to prevent the attack).

It provokes this question -

Would you give away virtually all your rights to someone who clearly couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery ?

When we have to sacrifice our values and freedoms, then the terrorists have already won.
