What is the point of banning the so called victim of this crime from visiting someone in prison that  she had a very close friendship with. I imagine that she is already hurting enough already by all the publicity and the court case. Although the court case was  rightly not allowed to mention her name, the story was all over the tabloids last year so the damage was already done.

This decision not only ruins one life, but also the life of the victim too, who doesn't believe that she is a victim. Isn't it abuse to tell a 16 year old that she doesn't know her own  mind, and she can't choose who to love or have a relationship with. It sounds very controlling to me.

Forrest was irresponsible to flee with the girl, but his sentence is excessive in my view. If he had  beaten her with a baseball bat and permanently injured her, he would have got a lesser sentence.
