Cool move.
Is this perhaps where the "Chart" now lives?
I'm thinking the free to view websites and the responses. Sure a record company could boost the views but without guenine feedback, like you're getting, it would be pretty useless.
It's not the views or downloads that count but real people kindly providing their email addy.
Big End
the penny has dropped. I spot a cunning plan.

i would be up for doing that i am a singer/songwriter who has to go down that route anyway (being unemployed)
I also want to bring my own single out.
i have also done alot of research into which forums are better. if you want to try this just give be a few months to get some thing that would be hit worthy writen and recorded (i woudn`t even mind colabrateing with someone as well)you can listen to the stuff i have online already www.myspace.com/jamiesample128
you will also need a few more people involed to help create a buzz.

As more and more viewers join (over 12,000 in 4 days so far) I e-mail the positive and nice commentators... and many of those are in America or Australasia or Asia or other far flung places... and I ask them HOW they got to find or hear about the blog.
You would be astonished at the list I've compiled so far.
So - if a HIT goes up on YouTube, I now have a fantastic list to mail. And if the reaction is strong, I reckon the avalanche process begins.
On the other hand... check out the Hey Clip... over 9 million views and not a hit in a million years!!

The problem here is that JK is already a "name" so his popularity isn't much of an indicator of getting from zero to something via the internet.
