JK2006 from key sources (since the Tipsheet started this interest in the band) that they are completing an album which will consist of the best of the old and the best of the new!
Good luck to them.
Putterknee From what I gather Nick wanted to turn them into a "pretend" proper band (think Rooster) which might explain the dumping of the old (excellent) pop tracks and the abandoning (I gather) of Mick Lister who played a huge part in those hits (more than just co writing I hear).

And could be why they were auditioning for "real" musicians to make them appear more like Fightstar than Busted.

Anyone see huge sales coming up?
RG1 That's interesting, as I know The Vacancy were auditioning a rhythm section around 6 months ago.

I was out with friends, and my girlfriend started singing 'Handheld Digital Infrared Compatible', which amazed two acquaintances at the bar who thought The vacancy were basically obscure (said girlfriend is a myspace floozy). They came over and said they'd just played that very song at a rehearsal studio in London in an audition for The Vacancy. So this must be a fairly recent decision?
