JK2006 So there I am, suddenly a really successful singer/songwriter/producer. I get a call from Madeleine Bell (superb session singer and lead vocalist with Blue Mink whose Melting Pot was a big hit - written by my friend Roger Greenaway). "JK - you've got more influence with Top of the Pops than anyone. You know Reg, that little fat gay pianist you've used on sessions? He's got a wonderful track out. Please get it on the show".
I loved Your Song so I called Mel Cornish, the producer and BANG - he booked Elton to sing it on the show.
We're talking 1970 or 1971.

Ah, memories.
