JK2006 Doing Son of a Preacher Man� I personally remember her going off to Memphis (very nervous); we sat at a table in a club and she revealed how terrified she was, recording over there. Another time she told me she was really jealous of my friendship with Scott Walker and said he was the only guy ever that could have turned her!

I think Dusty is arguably the best female singer of all time - unless Aretha or Gladys grab that crown.

I got a lovely message from her as she was dying from mutual friend Vicky Wickham saying she agreed with my message to her - we should have been better friends.
