david I wouldn't actually say it was a lie, the pre-sale was quite small and tightly controlled, and the small allocation that went on sale sold out in minutes too, and none were on sale from then until 9.30am Froday morning.

p.s. Did I mention I have tickets?

Hooray

Would you like to explain how - as the tickets only went on sale THIS morning ?

My pleasure ITK. There was a fan pre-sale on Wednesday, with access via a non-transferrable code.

Happy now?

Yes, very happy now, thank you !

Just concerned that the BBC should LIE and say tickets sold out within minutes when they had clearly been on sale for days !

I have to say something about the ticketing process, which has been beyond exemplary, and I think says a lot about the artist.

To start with, tickets were strictly limited to 4 per household across all performances, so you can buy 4 for one show, or 1 for 4 shows, but no more. This morning there were tickets coming back on sale after being voided for this reason. Also, the lead ticket holder will have to provide photo id in order to get into the hall.

The pre-sale was amazing. I was only alerted to it by someone who asked me if I was on the katebush.com mailing list. I checked and I had received an email with a code to enter on Wednesday. The link had to be accessed directly from the email you received from katebush.com, and could not be forwarded on to anyone otherwise it would be void. It was also made clear that once the code had been entered you could not refresh the page or leave it.

This was a great approach, as so many people I know have got tickets, and multiple bookings have been made difficult. There are tickets showing upon ebay for £1000, but I'm not sure how that will work re the photo id.

Kudos to Ms Bush and her team for a flawless process for something that could have been much more chaotic.

This becoming the norm in venues with photo ID I needed it for The Strawbs and 10CC, it works well I feel sorry for people who buy the tickets on ebay.
andrew I saw Kate Bush in Asda where I worked she buying some fruit.
