Great minds think alike. Always preferred Allinson. It may have something to do with his voice. Great tone for breakfast show and hasn't bored me with any self absorbed nonsense about cars and country boozers. Maybe we're all tiring of Evans now...

Although I think he once had a regular graveyard shift show, he always seems to fill-in for shows if a celebrity fill-in is not available - I expect Zoe Ball or Richard Madeley were on holiday themselves.
Richard Allison is like respite listening as I find Chris Evans a bit too much like a toddler on E-numbers sometimes.

I like Chris Evans' show a lot, but it is actually refreshing listening to Richard Allinson. Allinson really should have a regular daytime slot. Perhaps following Evans in the morning?

He sits in for Chris almost as much as Chris is on and is far less abrasive. I reckon he gets paid a tenth but is preferred by listeners. Allinson is ordinary and uninspired but gentle.
