Chris Retro	The series started off well - some great home movie footage used - but it soon began to grate. Part Three was well off-point, and silly Lauren Laverne's 'bedtime-story' narration got really annoying. "and THEN Siouxsie invented.... GOTHS! And all the little boys and all the little girls wanted to be Goths like all the bigger boys and bigger girls!" I supposed we should get used to it - it won't be the last document to present the 21st Century kiddults with a bowdlerised version of the era we know everything about anyway (but, remember, we're "unenlightened")
JK2006	I need to catch up on iPlayer but yes, Robbie, interesting and sad that the influence of, and interest in, youth culture drifted away 25 years ago. Brit Pop was a fake phase; never really caught on.
robbiex	A great series, but why waste so much time on groups that weren't interested in fashion (i.e. OMD and Dexy's Midnight Runners). The 80s were all about new Romantics, the last great british youth cult. Have you noticed that this series like many others concentrates on the 60s, 70s, and 80s, recognising that that 90s and beyond are basically non-descript with regards to fashion and youth culture.
