JK2006 Yes Pru; actually the liberal media have been quite astonishing on this, just as they are on Savile and numerous other vital topics. It's confusion, you see. The Guardian - rightly and proudly standing up for women's rights and anti-rape - think that even the slightest hint of protecting victims of false allegations or censorship will damage their squeaky clean image on the other topics. Probably and sadly they correctly despise their readers' intelligence.

I agree, but the way to get the BBC to recover its courage is to support it, and the so-called liberal media does nothing whilst the right work to destroy the corporation. If the Guardian, the Observer, the Independent, the New Statesman and others started highlighting the anti-BBC campaign and responded to it, we'd probably see the BBC show a bit of backbone again.
