JK2006 Alvin would be delighted by the fond comments I've had about him.
JK2006 Many industry people confirm my experience - that he was a really nice and highly talented lad - be it Bernard Jewry or Shane Fenton or Alvin Stardust.
MCR He was due to release a new album next month. Here's a track from it.

andrew Another superb artist gone - whose next ?
Pru Yet again, BBC news relied on the absurd Lizo Mzimba to start the tributes, even though, as per usual, this silly little geek clearly only knew who Alvin was from hurriedly having a gander at his wiki entry. Give him a job when he grows up, by all means, but don't make him entertainment correspondent when he doesn't know anything pre-1990. It's insulting to the people he discusses.
