JK2006 As you'll hear if you listen to the lyric to the end, it's one of my anti drug songs (the most famous was the single Round Round - check out our PHOTOs section. This one was written after an evening with John Lennon, Brian Epstein and others in the Speakeasy or Cromwellian or Scotch of St James clubs. A little piece of history from the music and social worlds of the 1960s.
JK2006 The most obscure tracks pop up on this incredible channel which I discovered when it started (just after I was released). Some of my very limited songs - ranging from demos to album tracks. Several even I don't have anymore. I got a message that there are thousands of Jonathan King songs scattered across You Tube and the other video sharing sites (for some reason they are far more comprehensive than the sound only sites like Spotify). This message said I'm one of the most shared artistes on the Internet. I suspect that's because UK media won't play my music so it's a rarity on the UK airwaves. But also my hits sold and were played all around the world and there are fans in many countries. Below is an example of someone who found it "on my father's reel to reel"!!! I wonder if I exist on some bizarre 8 track cassettes (remember them?) in an obscure third world country.
Interestingly, the track is NOT the one in the sleeve pictured; it's another (rather good) album track.
