JK2006 Ah no; all the ones behind me I was very connected to - either linked through business (publishing, production etc) or heavily featured and pushed on TV, radio, in my columns - before they hit.
Gary Penge Having seen VP the Sequel, I noticed a lot of shots of silver and gold discs for artists who don't seem to be connected to you. Are we to assume from this that you have acted as a special consultant/plugger for them or something similar? Perhaps you made a phone call to somebody in the music biz or on the radio, which led to a track suddenly getting noticed and then finding itself shooting up the charts...
JK2006 Comes across as a really nice lady. I like Texas but have no idea why I have a platinum disc on my wall, thanking me for my contribution to their success. It sits there as I write, gleaming a million UK sales, a strange glass thing with my name carved into it. Actually I see it says "over a million European sales". Very nice and all that but I can't recollect contributing anything other than liking a couple of their hits.
