JK2006 I've always hated "release dates" - merely an excuse for deaf radio programmers and retailers to be told what to play/order and when. These days a big percentage of music is no longer "released" by major labels anyway. It has simply become a way to manipulate the chart. "Buy this today". Real Hits now grow and grow over time as more and more discover them online.

When I was poised to take over EMI in the late 90s, I planned to start online TV and radio stations owned by the company but playing the best of all music - the "go to" place to discover great sounds. The concept is still badly needed. Streaming services don't cater for people who simply don't know what they want (99% of music lovers).
