JK2006 A nice policeman yesterday told me Entertainment USA was his favourite programme ever.
Pru You need a blog that zings into people's in-boxes every fortnight or month, JK. People in the biz are too lazy to pop into here (or anywhere) on a regular basis, and when they do they only get exercised when there's a perceived slight of their precious characters - they couldn't give a toss about music. But reach out like the increasingly effective Driver 67 does via a blog subscription - it gives them something to respond to, and most of them are essentially reactive creatures.
JK2006 A man stopped me on the street in Chelsea this morning and said Bring Back King! When I raised an eyebrow he said "the BBC should have you running Eurovision, Top of the Pops and The Brits. Everybody in Britain would watch all three". Smiled and said goodbye.

It was fun. When I took on Eurovision, it took me three years to win but Love City Groove (No8 on the charts - 10 in the contest) was followed by Ooh Aah Just A Little Bit (in my opinion - the best Eurovision entry ever and No1 on the charts but only No8 in the contest) and climaxed in Love Shine A Light, our last UK win with massive TV ratings.

My Top of the Pops career lasted for 30 years, had hits galore as singer, producer and presenter (US chart rundown).

My Brits stint named them, hosted and wrote them (87) and produced them back to success (90, 91 and 92).

Yes I did know what I was doing. Whether I could still do it at 70 is another question. RATHER BE was my Record of 2014. That sums up where I'm coming from.
