JK2006 Ah, the Midland - my first bank!
dixie It was boarded up for nearly 20 years. I last walked past it in December and wondered what was going to happen to it. By coincidence today it has been announced HSBC are moving their UK head quarters to the site. So the old Midland Bank is moving home!
(Amazing how the thread has moved on from Jackie Trent).
Chris Retro I understand the ATV Centre was recently demolished - some entertainment historians (including a friend of JK's) were allowed to visit the place and take photos before the bulldozers moved in.
MCR Sadly it's nothing but rubble now.

dixie The great thing about the Golden Shot was it was live. (It had to be because in the first round, people phoned in to direct the arrow. I remember one of the shows I went to had Lyndsey De Paul as a guest.
Ant and Deccould reintroduce the feature as part of their live Saturday Night Show!
