JK2006 And young Reg Dwight singing Skyline Pigeon - wonderful (I did a terrific version of the song in the 60s - you can find it on my box set). I put this as one of Elton's ten best tunes.
JK2006 And Billy Fury. Some terrific singers from my teenage years, several of which I was lucky enough to meet later in life - like Billy (charming) and Adam Faith, who I idolised as a kid and who was very sweet.
JK2006 Softly As I Leave You - a beautiful Italian song Hal Shaper (an old friend) wrote English lyrics for after he heard it in the San Remo Festival - I was in San Remo a few years ago (see www.PinkMarbleEgg.com).
