I saw this photocopy paper the other day made by a company called "Yes". What a terrible name for a company, how do you think they answer the phone?

I think they had such a great sound before, and a batch of real quality hit records (which is obviously what enticed Raphael to get the cheque book out) can't see why the change in direction, sounds like a vacancy at White Rabbit waiting to happen. |

Having named many bands myself, I have a rule which I apply to the task.
How is this name going to sound when I ring a client?
With the case of "Go Audio", I would worry on a cold call to a gig, you will sound like a PA company trying to get work and introduce yourself.
No problem with "The Vacancy", that an obvious band name.
Can you imagine the first guy assigned to get a gig for "Kajagoogoo"?
But still, my favourite disastrous name has to go to "Call Centre". How to get your client to instantly hang up or what! |
