Some of the great session musicians deserve far more examination and programmes; The Wrecking Crew in California warranted, deserved and got an entire show devoted to them. We used to call the violinists "the mice" and I was one of the few (including John Barry) who could get them to stand up for some of the pizzicato passages. |

Wouldn't surprise me. My other much favoured drummers were Ronnie Verrell and Dougie Wright, both excellent. Ginger Baker played drums on Just Like A Woman and gave blood - he'd broken his foot and at the end of the session his bandage was scarlet with blood.
