I find it interesting that all the press are saying it sold 200k downloads in the first set of mids, and yet it had only done 88k, and I saw the mids yesterday when it went up by 8k to 96k, nowhere near 200k at all. Shops are saying it's sold 100-150k in there as well. I dont think sales are that good for a show watched by 13 million people, but it might crawl to a million sold eventually.

We should not forget though guys, that to get a true new hit and break it, the tune/act has to appeal to people that don`t like music as much as we do.
I like three songs in that list, and own two of them in my personal collection which is not a bad average for a middle aged man reading a current chart.
But I must agree with Cat in many ways, we all knew whoever won X-Factor was bound to be number one in December back in August. You simply cannot compete with exposure/advertising like that.
