If Skyfall was no. 1 then that is a total travesty, and very much a case of people remembering only the recent. I couldn't hum the tune to skyfall. If the poll was taken ten years from now when Adele is forgotten then, it probably wouldn't make the top ten. This reminds me of a poll from 1988 of the best songs ever (Bros won with "When will I be famous". Where would it appear on today's chart.

Credit to Adele and Paul - managing to come up with a song and theme that is right up there with those other greats.

For once Jools Holland and I agree - We Have All The Time In The World (No6 on the ITV chart) was the best ever Bond song. For me, second is Live and Let Die (2). Then Skyfall (1). Then Goldfinger (3).

Nancy Sinatra - a cut'n'paste job as she bravely admitted. Funny how that expression was much used in our music industry in the 60s; long before the Internet.

Watching the ITV Bond themes show I think Don Black along with John Barry is a National Treasure.
