JK2006 Possibly something to do with her voice; Michelle fitted the Pop Image of the Sixties. Yet another major change made by Cass and others (Janis Joplin) - that vocal talent was the important quality needed in music.
PaulB I hear the rest of the band almost didn't ask her to join. Barry Maguire had something to do with them changing their minds. A good decision. I've always loved her voice.
JK2006 On SOTS - one of the great voices of our generation; I tell the story in my song Mama Cass Sat In The Hamburger Hamlet (in Anticloning) of how she tried and failed to turn me onto LSD - gave up pretty quick, clearly knew it was a lost cause and not worth the effort. But what a wonderful voice!
