for the insiders, the winners are obvious... but I do feel that for Mighty Joe Public, the winners come as a suprise... which is a good thing...
i think there should be some grand changes to be made to make things a bit interesting for everyone, us included...
the idea of it being live and dangerous, with a trigger happy f*ck button guy was laughable... and nothing too outrageous did happen... where's brandon block when you need him?!?!

The problem with this year's Brits is that nobody knows any of the music names because the non specialist artist is dead.
Why? Because of the death of Top of the pops and the charts.
Commenting (briefly) on the Brits, the speaker on the foremost radio channel in Belgium (NRJ) said, "Amy Winehouse, I wonder who she is?". I sympathise with him.

Great quote.
Big End
Mmmmm..."The Brits"! The world wide approach IS the only way forward now as far as I can see simply because music is available world wide. Does anyone really care if the music is British or from anywhere else for that matter just so long as it's good? In the grander scheme of things, I think not.
"Music tastes are so fragmented, it's very difficult to garner a mass audience," says ABC alternative/specials topper Andrea Wong. "You try, because these are big, big artists. But it's hard."
Observers believe "Idol" reaches a broad audience only because it's "not really about music," as one Big Four suit puts it. "It's a great soap opera that has music as a thread."
