Jackie Jones - Supergene
I don't wanna lose it - Mcdaid
...erm they seem very similar, I think they should sue each other
The Supergene track - there is, I think, a very good song in there slightly below the surface. Interesting.
Good to see the Tipsters favourite at No1 too. |

The song is very relevant to today. It's about a man having his house re-posessed, and I recently saw a news report that reposessions are at an all time high.
If another producer does get involved, let's hope we don't end up with an awful scenerio like Meck ft Eliot Corina. He needs to remain in control of his own work. |

I loved Eliots track from the outset, although it does meander a bit in the middle.
I think a Jeff Lynne production would go down an obvious route with the tune, and probably cost the royal mint.
The lo-fi in the tune needs to be up there with the hi-fi.
One name for me to produce that tune.

thought I'd better add the link
unless JK adds it to the main post for me.

Four new entries including two blasts from the past.
Fruit Eating Bears with Door In My Face at no.10. Funnily enough I was just talking to someone about that song a couple of weeks back.
Barry White in at no.9 with Let The Music Play. The Walruss of Love. Wonderful TV documentary about him last week. Great to hear his voice again.
In at no.7 is Mcdaid with I Don't Wanna Lose it. One of those songs which you either love on first hearing then get bored with, or you hate it on first hearing and it grows on you.
Highest new entry at no.6 is Supergene with Jackie Jones. Not about former no.1 Jack Jones, but a good piece of melodic rock from a bunch of Welsh guys.
The Big News is that Eliot Corina is at no.1 with Goodbye Tulip Drive. I really love this track and hope it gets much wider attention and success. Someone said to me that they thought it would be an even more amazing track if Jeff Lynn was to get behind the production. Interesting idea.
Another good chart. |
