I agree completely.

Someone at the Beeb has lost their senses.

The worst instance is a 5 Live show called 'The Afternoon Edition'. This is like a checklist of right on nonsense.

Female co-presenter, check. Asian male co-presenter, check. Slavishly 18-30 demographic attitude, check. It's nauseating.

Someone recently said about some 'tradition': 'Oh, this actually has only been happening for the last eight years' and one of the hosts exclaimed, 'EIGHT years??? That's like forever!!'

You'll get young people phoning up spouting absurd ill-informed rubbish but the hosts will say, 'Hmmm...GOOD point!'

As JK's own TV shows proved, you can target the young and engage them without pretending they all know everything about life. This show is appalling.

As for Sara Cox, her accent drives me mad - it's part deliberately self-parody 'northern' and part attempted 'posh' - which makes it the worst of both worlds. And she's very, very stupid. Radio 2 really needs to grow up.

Give Sara Cox a break, I find her quite funny and is suited to a quite lightweight programme like sounds of the 80s. She has quite a sarcastic northern sense of humour, and if she was a man like Peter Kay people would be saying she is hilarious. I don't personally listen to her often, as I prefer Radio 4 and I would suggest people here listen to it in the morning if they want something intelligent. Radio 2 is now the radio 1 of 10 years ago and some programmes probably don't appeal to 60+ age people.

I hadn't even realised she was supposed to be funny!

Can we have Mr Hall back he was great on Five Live.

JK2006 Peter Kay is brilliant; Sara is a disaster.
