Meh!As I believe the hip thing to say is.
Glad Mr Jagger agrees with me, it shows his good sense
The JK cover of Satisfaction has surprised more than one of my friends. It's an excellent, if unexpected, cover of an excellent song.

who said it was the single worst thing she'd ever heard in her life.
Am I the only one who likes it?
I just find Nina's take on it fascinating. When I first heard it I was actually insulted - I thought she was sending me up. She does deliberately go flat on the words "out of tune".
And that strange ending.
But it has haunted me ever since.
Sinatra did it too but we can't find his version. Marlene Dietrich's was only ever done live but a kind internet person sent it to me (see Listen Here).
As Mart says, it's a joy when someone that esteemed does one of your songs and their interpretation is always good to hear.
Jagger once told me my version of Satisfaction was the best cover!

It's certainly a very odd take on the song, but at least you can't accuse her of not stamping her own individuality on the version.

It`s quite a moment though Kev,for a writer to be covered by one of the all time greats. The original cannot be beaten though.
Someone covered one of mine once on telly, and decided it wasn`t long enough and added two extra verses they had written themselves using every cliche in the book which I had deliberately avoided.
I am still upset by that, as I wasn`t even consulted.
I think Nina did her sway on the tune, it`s not great but it`s Nina, I`d be pretty proud.

I agree. Love Nina, but think this cover is awful.
Is it a spoof?
