JK2006 Whilst it's good that Tony Blackburn is back; and at least he genuinely does love music; he is very much the old style DJ that likes making jokes about names and reading dedications. Trouble is - he is not great at reading (Tony Macaulay became Tom; odd as he's more comfortable with the name Tony) and clearly isn't very happy informing and educating the listener (which was one of the best things about Brian Matthew).

You can almost hear him saying "do we need to tell the listener these things? Aren't they happier just getting name checks, time checks and pay cheques?".
