I'm basically stuck with the Pistols' "God Save the Queen".

The only thing I can think of is Frankie Goes to Hollywood's Two Tribes... but that was ages ago.

Flogging Molly do stuff that is politically aware, quite a different kind of thing but it does bring to mind that the music industry output lacks any attitude... for now anyway

DJKZ I don't think it is bad actually and let's face facts it is a novelty record not a serious one. I challenge anyone to show me a novelty record that betters it.
They ARE ALL AWFUL and that is the point.
Ugly Rumours are not a serious band and this track was made to make a point. As for its slump that is due to them falling foul of chart rules due to multiple buying. Which of course opens another can of worms. How does the OCC determine what is multiple buying. So if i can send a song as a gift to a friend on Itunes isn't that multiple buying ? And if 1000 is illegal so should 1. But i do understand from the OCC's perspective as well.
Kev It doesn't sound great to me either, I much prefer this version:

chartwatching nobody has mentioned Cushh much but I think theyve done well for themselves, tv exposure, self-released, self managed no31 this week and the physical has just gone on sale...

theyre not as 'cute' as koopa...but obviously have the potential to go places.
