Mart When we started our works being distributed via Tunecore here, we were initially told that at some point we would have to supply a physical release to go along with the CRC codes they had supplied us with for sales and logging.

This request is not a problem, but I can assure you Small Label, we have not had to do this at all and from this year are dig only.
Big End funnily enough, I thought exactly the same thing. Who needs the physical? In fact, it is hardly relevant to the services they are offering. Have you tried sticking, "not applicable" in the field?
Small label Please could anyone give any advice on registering with the digital download aggregator, The Orchard. I notice two of the compulsory fields in the application form are 'name of physical distribtor' and ' number of completed albums in catalogue'. Whilst we do have signed distribution agreement with Universal I'm kind of surprised that a physical distribution deal is seen as a pre-requisite. What are the entry requirements in terms of back catalogue? We are not able to commit to regular numbers of releases - is this going to be a problem?
