Robbery is true, but the thieves won.
It wasn`t EMI that taught us all how to upload and use legitimate paying download distributors, this was Napster, Limewire and Kazaar.
The majors were too busy playing ostrich at Starbucks and working out which old act they were going to re-package for Christmas.
The losers are the majors, but, are the winners the consumers with a greater and more varied choice of material that may never have even been opened and listened to in the A+R office?
Or is there now so much product the quality control element is missing?

"In common with other record companies, EMI has seen sales drop sharply in recent years due to piracy and the growth of digital music sales."
Might we suggest they change the expression "digital music sales" to "robbery"?
