beanpicker but there's already ways to cheat it..I believe a band called 'postal service' were at the top of their charts for most of last year...via multiple accounts and sharing the same winamp playlist files..

easily done.

still last fm is a great opportunity for new bands like myspace, i know acts like Koopa, Breed77, Submerse, Ladytron and others use it for promotion.

the similar artists radio works very well.
Michael As I pointed out to Mart on a separate thread, Last.fm relies on the information contained in your MP3 files (or those of your listeners). Make sure you fill them out completely or you'll lose listens.

Insider tip: If you have trouble getting into their database, you might have to fiddle around with the one at musicbrainz.org.

Wikipedia says:

Last.FM is a website and internet radio station designed to introduce people to new music. It is a sister site to and shares a music database with Audioscrobbler. Record labels and artists are encouraged to allow Last.FM to play their music because it will, in theory, increase album sales. last.fm music stock contains more than 100,000 songs.

Kid-KO is on there also, anyone with the Audioscrobbler plugin for Winamp (and Media Player?) will send information to Audioscrobbler about the tracks they are playing and up they pop on Last.FM.

If it were a standard it would be a great replacement for a chart.
