mikemacca Germany selected its Eurovision entry last night (a countrified cowboy singalong, one you can gooseclap along to). An ageing Australian chanteuse backed with some very effeminate cowboys - if drawn near the end it may win the contest. One of the Runners-Up was a certain Vicky Leandros, last in the UK charts back in 1973 and looking okay for 78 (Ok she's 58). Nice to see it isn't all about young people.

For a final consisting of 3 songs, it still lasted over 90 minutes and was actually quite entertaining with lots of guests. Puts the UK programme to shame really because that's only worth watching for Jonathan Ross's xenophobic comments.
