Kev I presume their next single is to be 'Everything Is Average Nowadays' which is unfortunately an incredibly ironic title.

I
Pete Clarke I heard the new Kaiser's tune on XFM last night, and Ian Camfield invited listeners to call and text with their feedback.

Most of the subsequent feedback was of the negative variety, and seemed to consist mainly of complaints that the Kaiser's sounds hasn't changed much since their first record.

This struck me as a little unfair, because surely it was their own 'relatively' distinctive sound that made them massive in the first place. It also struck me as a little odd to hear this kind of criticism from The Public. What did they expect? OK Computer?

By the same token, if they HAD radically altered their sound, there would probably been even more complaints!

It seems to me that the Team Kaiser has opted for consolidation, rather than expansion. Certainly, the first time I heard Ruby on the radio, I instantly recognised them, and a smile was soon on my face. Great band & welcome back!

Adios,
Pete
